This medical lift was engineered to lift upwards of 400lbs, we managed to reduce footprint size while keeping complexity and costs low due to the use of Delrin; a unique high strength polymer. The shape and design of the internal structure was iterated through Finite Element Analysis (FEA). This iterative process helped determine weak-points and stress concentrations allowing for a frame just as strong as aluminum.
The exterior design was created to be ergonomic, attractive and portable through the use of retractable arms. The design also allowed for a wired/wireless remote for easier use.
